I live near the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, so it's a short trip to find myself in my quiet space of Appalachia. And when I can't visit physically, I have several images from there as wall art hanging in my home to keep me mellowed out.
In Appalachia, rolling vistas seem to go on forever. and the small towns and farms down in the hollows are perfect punctuation marks in the colorful stories that Appalachia tells.
The Appalachians can be many things to many people, but for now, explore its Quiet through pictures of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Great Smoky Mountains, and the Allegheny Mountains.
